SmartBoards were just becoming popular when I stopped teaching in 2002. The people I knew who used them loved them, but I don't know a whole lot about them. Thanks for posting the video!
I love the SmartBoard as well. I am not familiar about the uses in upper grades, but I do use it daily in pre-k. It has numerous capabilities, and the children love it! It makes everyday learning more interesting for them. It also puts more things at the teacher's fingertip. My favorite thing about the SmartBoard is the ability for teachers to create programs and share them online.
